MES Kindergarteners Succeeding on MKAS

MKAS is the Mississippi Kindergarten Readiness Assessment which provides valuable data to help evaluate scholars' reading ability entering and exiting kindergarten.  In order for each scholar to be perceived as being ready for 1st grade, he or she must reach a 681 by the end-of-year spring assessment.  The group photo represents all scholars who scored 500 or above on the preliminary assessment.  The highest scoring scholar in each classroom are Quin'terius Carter in Mrs. Kate Bowman's classroom, Audrey Farnham in Mrs. Isha Toney's classroom, and Baileigh Middlebrook in Ms. Georgi Davis' classroom.
