Meet the Counselor
Danita Stevenson, M.S.
I am Danita Stevenson and this is my first year as a School Counselor. I am elated to have the opportunity to be of service to the scholars of Monticello Elementary School. My goal is to provide a safe space for scholars to express themselves freely, while supporting and guiding scholars on the path to success. I graduated from Jones College in 2016 with my Associate's degree. In 2018, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Child and Family Studies with an emphasis in Family Relations from The University of Southern Mississippi. #SMTTT! In 2022, I received my Master's of Counseling Psychology, School Counseling from William Carey University. I am an active member of the American School Counseling Association (ASCA). I am committed to the success of each and every scholar. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any concerns, questions, or suggestions. Together we can work as a team to ensure success for each scholar.
Mission Statement
As the School Counselor at Monticello Elementary, I will address the personal, educational, and career development of all scholars so that they will be better prepared and equipped for future growth. The goal would be successful adults who are committed to excellence that will become productive and responsible members of our society.
